NCS is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 16 & 17 year olds that helps them build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends. During the four week programme, we ask for team leaders and team assistants to lead the group and facilitate activities to ensure a successful programme. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The role is demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding.
We’re currently looking for team leaders and assistants to work with young people during July and August 2017! You need to be confident leading groups of young people, have experience of working in a residential setting, and able to support and inspire young people through their NCS journey!
Wave Leaders, Team leaders or Team Assistants
The Wave Leaders’ role is to co-ordinate and support the Team Leaders and Team Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the NCS programme. Team management skills are essential, as well as earlier experience of working in the programme or similar.
A Team Leader role is to lead, inspire and develop a team of fifteen, 16-17 year-olds through the NCS programme in West Sussex. This role is suitable for a dynamic and confident person with experience of leading groups of young people who is able to both motivate them and command their respect.
Team Assistants will work alongside Team Leaders and an International Volunteer as support. This role is suitable for a passionate individual with an interest in leading their first project with young people and who is ready to support the group and the leader in the activities.
Before starting work on NCS, all staff who work on the programme must have a returned enhanced DBS disclosure and two satisfactory references regarding their suitability to work with young people.
All our jobs are based in the Worthing and Adur area of West Sussex.

Applicants must have excellent administrative and communication skills and lots of motivation. A willingness to work some evenings and weekends is a must. You will primarily be office based providing administration support for Concordia’s NCS delivery.
