NCS is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 16 & 17 year olds that helps them build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends. During the four week programme, we ask for team leaders and team assistants to lead the group and facilitate activities to ensure a successful programme. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The role is demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding.
We’re currently looking for Wave Leaders, Wave Assistants, Team Leaders and Team Assistants to work with young people during July and August 2018! You need to be confident leading groups of young people, have experience of working in a residential setting, and be able to support and inspire young people through their NCS journey!
Wave Leaders, Wave Assistants, Team Leaders or Team Assistants
The Wave Leader’s role is to co-ordinate and support the 2 Wave Assistants to run the NCS programme to excellent standard and follows the NCS ethos and Concordia vaules. Team management skills are essential, as well as earlier experience of working on the programme or a similar role.
A Wave Assistants‘ role is to support groups of Team Leaders and Team Assistants to ensure the smooth running of the NCS programme.
A Team Leader’s role is to lead, inspire and develop a team of fifteen, 16-17 year-olds through the NCS programme in West Sussex. This role is suitable for a dynamic and confident person with experience of leading groups of young people who is able to both motivate them and command their respect.
The Team Assistants will work alongside Team Leaders and International Volunteers as support. This role is suitable for a passionate individual with an interest in leading their first project with young people and who is ready to support the group and the leader in the activities.
Before starting work on NCS, all staff who work on the programme must have a returned enhanced DBS disclosure and two satisfactory references regarding their suitability to work with young people.
All our jobs are based in the Worthing and Adur area of West Sussex.
