Taking a group of young people to volunteer overseas can change them in all kinds of ways – self-reliance, self-esteem and co-operative skills can all be realised by the right experience.
We work with a variety of organisations including schools, colleges and the Girl Guides Association to give groups of young people the opportunity to find themselves while volunteering on a community project abroad. Our groups are between 10 and 20 people aged from 14 plus.
Your group could find yourselves…
- on an environmental project in Estonia or Greece
- working with children in Vietnam
- on a renovation project on Iceland
- on a reconstruction project in Korea
Supporting you from start to finish
We can help and advise with your selection process as well as run a training programme for your young volunteers. Concordia will liaise with their partner overseas and recommend a project that meets your brief. We will then organise flights, insurance, health and safety documentation and full itinerary as well as all other administrative tasks such as organising visas. With you will also be a Concordia trained Coordinator that joins you from start to evaluation once returned back in the UK.
All projects come from the non-profit partners that we work with and no two projects are the same giving you a truly unique experience.
How much does it cost?
As a charity, we like to keep our costs low. Generally, the more people that go, the more cost saving you will make. We can also budget for an included teachers place for every 10 volunteers. Because every project is bespoke, each project will be costed independently.
For more information check out our Group Volunteering folder, email Victor Petersson or call 01273 426492 to discuss your plans. We recommend that you need at least a 6-month build up period for planning and preparation before your project begins. To read the stories from our volunteers, check out our blog.
NCS Group Volunteering
NCS doesn’t necessary ends after the graduation ceremony. As part of our post-graduate opportunities, Concordia engages our NCS participants and offer them to do a group volunteer programme overseas together with other graduates. Contact us to get more information about NCS Group Volunteering.
